Drivers to be Blessed with sat-nav guidance
SAT-NAV users fed up of being bossed around by nagging dashboard Daleks will soon be enjoying journeys on a much more cultured note – with directions from one of Yorkshire's most famous voices.
The thunderous tones of Brian Blessed, could soon be filling cars – after 25,000 Facebook members backed a campaign by Manchester driver Richard Gardner
When he discovered that the Mexborough-born actor's voice was not available, he contacted sat-nav company TomTom who said they would open negotiations with Mr Blessed if the group attracted 25,000 supporters.
The group now has 25,772 members – so TomTom has confirmed that in October the renowned actor will become the latest celebrity to issue directions to drivers.
