Drivers warned of closures on M62

Drivers are being warned of forthcoming overnight closures of the M62 in West Yorkshire for the removal of Whitechapel Road Bridge.

The bridge, which spans the motorway between junctions 25 and 26 and carries the B6120 Whitechapel Road between Scholes and Cleckheaton, was closed on August 16 for 42 weeks to allow major bridge replacement works to take place.

Demolition of the bridge will require various weekend overnight closures of the M62 between Junctions 25 and 26 in September and October.
