Drumming up support

Musicians hope to drum up support for a children’s charity at a music festival in Halifax.

Grange Farm in Wheatley, Halifax, will host local bands at the town’s first Farmfest music festival on September 15, from 1pm to 8pm, in aid of the NSPCC which helps vulnerable children and young people.

Playing their first gig will be, from left, George Holding, 14, Danny Smith, 14, and James Brook, 12, from Beyond the Line.

The festival has been organised by businesses based at Grange Farm to help local bands showcase their talent and raise money for the NSPCC.

Tickets for Farmfest can be bought from Chocolate Mould Designs UK Ltd and Stainless Steel Supplies at Grange Farm; The Long Can Hall, Fountain Head Village, or on the gate on the day.
