Drunk behaviour'normal for teens'
Teenagers regard extreme drunkenness as a mark of "personal esteem" among their friends and key to being accepted as part of a social group, an academic said yesterday.
Professor Christine Griffin, of the University of Bath, has suggested a radical re-thinking of national alcohol policy was required to take into account the way a culture of intoxication has become normalised.
