Drunk, semi-naked teenager stuck in mud rescued by firefighters in Huddersfield

Firefighters were dispatched to rescue a drunk, semi-naked teenager stuck in mud in Huddersfield this morning.

The 19-year-old man became stranded on a river bank about 15 feet from the road but only four feet from the water near Kings Road Bridge at around 6am.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said he was dressed only in a t-shirt and was unresponsive to communication.

He was rescued by 2 firefighters using a short extension ladder and wearing life jackets and secured by a line before being treated by paramedics.
