Duke makes light of row over Duchess

The Duke of York saw the funny side yesterday as he jokingly put his head in his hands as the row rumbled on over a Sunday newspaper sting that allegedly showed his ex-wife had accepted an offer of £500,000 to provide access to him.

Prince Andrew visited Cambridge – as part of his role as the UK's special representative for international trade and investment – but said nothing about Sarah, the Duchess of York, who shares his home, Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park.

He ignored a question from waiting journalists as he arrived at a software company and made no mention of the Duchess's behaviour during a visit to a neighbouring specialist computer mapping firm, putting his head in his hands only to come up smiling.
