Eight hurt in ‘taxi row’

A TAXI driver has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a cab hit eight railway workers.

The incident was believed to have followed a furious street row between a cab driver and the workers on Tuesday evening.

It finished with the cab hitting the men, who were all wearing high visibility clothing, injuring eight people.

The incident happened in Wood Street, Cardiff, at about 7pm, close to the city’s railway station.

All eight were taken to hospital in Cardiff suffering a series of injuries, including spinal, but none life-threatening.

Police said that a 28-year-old man, who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder, was currently in police custody.
