Elizabethan hall prepares to reopen
Conservation assistant Sadie Scott is among staff at Hardwick Hall, near Chesterfield, who have been preparing the Elizabethan stately home for the start of the season.
Denise Edwards, the hall’s general manager, said: “We’re really excited to be opening the doors of Hardwick Hall earlier than ever before and hope that our visitors will enjoy our special guided tours around this spectacular Elizabethan building. We’re also going to be re-hanging two Gideon tapestries that have been conserved and they will take pride of place in the Long Gallery.”
