Elvis gets all shook up after horsing around in North Yorkshire
Elvis the horse was all shook up but escaped unharmed after getting stuck in a bog and having to be freed by fire-fighters.
Crews from Masham and Leyburn along with the Malton Animal Rescue crew were called at 9.15am yesterday morning when the horse got stuck up to his shoulders in a bog in a field at Kilgram Lane in Jervaulx near Ripon.
Elvis was rescued by fire crews using animal rescue equipment and with the assistance of a farmer’s tractor. A vet attended and sedated Elvis to allow crews to work and release him. After a three hour rescue he was left with his owner safe and well.
