Emergency landing but no casualties

Fire crews from more than a dozen stations in Leeds attended the call which came in just after 7am.

It is understood that the plane made the landing around 7.30am and that all its passengers were able to disembark in the normal way.

The Yorkshire Post understands the emergency was caused by an electrical fault in the cockpit of the aircraft.

John Parkin, chief executive of Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “There was an incident this morning but that incident is now closed and there are no outstanding issues.

“No-one was injured and it was over in relatively quick time.”
