Enchanted forest for half-term fun

A WILDLIFE centre in South Yorkshire has been transformed into an "enchanted forest" to coincide with the half-term holiday.

Manager at the Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife and Falconry Centre in North Anston, Kim Bellis, says she has believed in fairies since childhood. This is the third year running that she has organised the event, which this year coincides with the launch of her second collection of fairy-themed children's books The Fuddle Fairies.

Ms Bellis said: "I've been fascinated by fairies since I was a little girl.

The Enchanted Forest is a magical experience for young children – it's wonderful to be able to share my passion with others."

The event runs from Saturday, May 29 to Sunday, June 6 and normal admission rates apply – apart from for children in fairy-themed fancy dress, who gain free entry with one full-paying adult.
