In an English Country Garden ... all week

The new opening hours begin tomorrow at Beningbrough, the Treasurer's House in York, and Nunnington Hall, near Helmsley.

Activities range from exploring hidden Victorian below stairs at Beningbrough, to the famous Chitty Chitty Bang Bang movie star car at Nunnington Hall and Roman summer trails and tours of ghostly places at the Treasurer's House.

National Trust bosses promise something for every day of the week. Events include Artrageous Art for families at Beningbrough, Roman Tours at Treasurer's House, and summer trails at Nunnington Hall.

Other attractions include an exhibition of photography by musician Sandi Thom through July at Nunnington Hall, Lunch Clubs at the Treasurer's House and guided garden walks at Beningbrough Hall. There will be Attic Servants' tours at Treasurers House, an insect-themed nature walk at Nunnington Hall on August 5 and Play! at Beningbrough Hall in the school holidays.
