Enterprise event plans under way

PLANS for Rotherham’s first business and enterprise event are taking shape according to organisers, who plan to showcase the best of the borough’s businesses early next month.

Rotherham Means Business 2011 aims to help organisations to promote themselves and products to other enterprises and help to build networks between businesspeople across South Yorkshire and the wider region.

According to those behind the event, there will be a programme, of “inspirational keynote speakers” and advice will be offered on retail, business regulation and apprenticeship schemes.

It has been organised by Rotherham Council’s enterprise board and is sponsored by several well-known firms.

The sponsors include AESSeal Ltd, UK Steel Enterprise Ltd, The Source at Meadowhall and Business Link Yorkshire.

The Rotherham Means Business event will take place at the Magna Centre in Templeborough, Rotherham on Thursday, March 10.
