Expert advice to inspire new rural businesses

Entrepreneurs and land owners are being brought together to inspire new rural business opportunities at an event in Harrogate next month.

The Yorkshire Rural Support Network, supported by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, will host the Yorkshire leg of The Land Partnership workshop on Wednesday, September 16 in the Calder Room at Pavilions of Harrogate on the Great Yorkshire Showground.

The workshop is aimed at land entrepreneurs looking to unlock a new business innovation and landowners who might be seeking a partner to access the land’s business potential or diversify.

Delegates will be introduced to a five-step approach to help initiate and develop new business collaborations.

The workshop will include entrepreneurial and landowner case studies with a range of professionals sharing their experience to guide on the processes and techniques as well as answering delegate’s questions.

Alison Rickett, managing director of Fresh Start Land Enterprise which is running the workshops around the UK, said: “This is such a great opportunity to share a range of experience and knowledge from those who have already started up alternative agreements and help to answer the ‘what if’ questions that are bound to arise from those who may be looking at this for the first time or wanting a greater understanding of the options available to them.”

The event starts at 10am and finishes by 4pm. Places are £40, including lunch. To register for a place, contact Fresh Start on 07598 707121 or email [email protected]
