The judging is complete and the shortlist of entrants has been announced. After a record number of entries and a fantastic response from the region’s food and drink producers, this year’s judging panel – made up of food industry critics and experts, chefs and supermarket buyers – had the almost impossible task of deciding which products and businesses would make the final cut.

But decide they did and with 68 businesses from in and around Yorkshire getting the nod, this year’s glamorous black tie event is set to be the biggest and best yet.

But the festivities aren’t just reserved for those who have been shortlisted – the evening which is taking place at the Pavilions of Harrogate is open to everyone with an interest in Yorkshire produce and is a fantastic networking event for related businesses in the region.

Run in association with Asda and hosted by Deliciouslyorkshire chairwoman Judy Bell from Shepherd’s Purse Cheeses and BBC Radio 2 Food Critic Nigel Barden, the evening promises a celebratory atmosphere along with a fantastic locally sourced meal, all topped off with music and dancing to bring the celebrations to a close.

Deliciouslyorkshire press and marketing manager Helen Miles said: “Taste Award tickets are available now through the Deliciouslyorkshire website but are selling fast!

“It’s going to be a fantastic night celebrating the hard work and dedication of all the food and drink producers in the region who entered their products and businesses into this year’s awards. The evening will start with a drinks reception where we’ll be serving some special Yorkshire cocktails before getting the delicious dinner and awards ceremony underway. It’s the most delicious party of the year.”
