Shows in the East and West as season set to welcome the big ones

WEST and East Yorkshire events are vying for your custom tomorrow, at the start of the biggest two months of the country show season.

The West Yorkshire offer is Arthington Show, put on by Arthington, Bramhope, Pool & District Horticultural & Agricultural Society, at the showfield by the bridge in Pool-in-Wharfedale, LS21 2QA – where north Leeds peters out into proper countryside.

It has cattle and sheep competitions as well as a varied equestrian section, gundogs and racing ducks, children’s sports and a gardeners’ section.
