Showtime as Todmorden’s big day is set to hit the television screens

TODMORDEN Show is likely to be on television later this year.

Presenter Ade Edmondson, fresh from success with his series The Dales, was filming there on show day, two weeks ago, for a new series, Ade In Britain, on food and its origins.

Tomorrow is show day for Arthington, Bramhope, Pool & District, at the showground by the bridge in the heart of Pool-in-Wharfedale, between Leeds and Otley, and for Howden, East Yorkshire, at The Ashes Playing Field, Howden, DN14 7DN.

Next comes the big one – the Great Yorkshire Show, Tuesday July 12 to Thursday July 14.

n All qualifiers to represent England in the 2011 World Sheep Dog Trials at Penrith, September 15-18, have now been named.

They include Carol Mellin, Oakworth, Keighley, with Maisie; and Matt Watson, Tadcaster, with Milo.

Qualifying rounds will take place on the first two days, the semi-final on the Saturday and the final on the Sunday.
