FLOWER growers’ co-op Flowers from the Farm is offering a wedding package free as part of a grant-aided pilot development in East Yorkshire.
As a test run and promotion for the fledgling East Yorkshire organisation, a wedding taking place on August 25 will be supplied with £500 worth of bouquets, buttonholes, arrangements and displays of the couple’s choice.
To enter for the prize, complete the sentence ‘We would love to have local, seasonal flowers at our wedding because...’ and email with name, address, telephone number and wedding location, to [email protected] by June 30.
Farmer’s wife Gill Hodgson, of Everingham, near York, is trying to set up a national network of local suppliers offering alternatives to the travel-friendly flowers which have taken over the market.
