Event looks for talented 
youngsters

The competition is designed to encourage musicians within a 15 mile radius of Ripon to show their talent.

This year’s event will take place on November 22 and 23 at Holy Trinity Church in Ripon and entries are now being accepted.

Competition founder David Winpenny said: “The Ripon Young Musicians competition is now firmly established as an important date in the musical calendar of the area, and we know that we shall once again be welcoming lots of talented young people as we celebrate music-making in the area.”

The adjudicator for the 2013 event is Penny Stirling, formerly director of the internationally-renowned Junior Strings Project at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
