Ex-teacher denies attacks on children

A NORTH Yorkshire man who is former master of a top school has appeared at the Old Bailey accused of sexually assaulting pupils.

Stephen Douglas-Hogg, 51, of Filey, pleaded not guilty to buggery and two offences of indecent assault on boys under 16.

The charges date back to the 1980s when he was working at St Paul's Cathedral Choir School in the City of London.

Douglas-Hogg appeared by video link from prison and was remanded back into custody.

He also pleaded not guilty to two charges of child cruelty with another former school worker, Jane Violaris, 48, of Harrow, north London, who was on bail.

They will both face trial in October.
