Money raised goes towards sending the best prepared team possible to the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Deloitte’s Stuart Cottee, head of tax in Yorkshire, will be taking part for the second year in a row, having been part of a team that raised more than £8,000 last year.

He will be joined by colleagues including Jeremy Towler, manager in consulting, Laura Linstead, executive in corporate finance and Tim Haskins, senior manager in tax.

The 960-mile, nine-day journey will go from Land’s End to John O’Groats, a reversal of last year’s route, with riders averaging 106 miles a day.

Stuart, a keen cyclist who competes in triathlons, said: “Participating for the first time last year was a real challenge but an amazing experience. I’m hoping to improve on my time and raise more money for a very worthwhile cause.”
