Three other teenagers in the car were also hurt. Two, aged 19 and 17, are in a stable condition in hospital.

On Monday, more than 150 people paid their respects at the crash scene. A move which was organised through the social networking site Facebook.

Many floral tributes have also been left at the scene.

Calvin’s brother Liam, 16, who attended the gathering, said: “He was such an awesome lad. He was so original and quick-witted.

“He would leave people on the floor laughing at his jokes and his impressions; he was by far the funniest person I knew.

“I have so many funny and amazing memories of Calvin. My family and I would like to say thank you to everyone for your messages of support and love that you have been sending us.

“Thank you to all the people that came on Monday to pay their respects, it was an amazing turn out and we never expected that many people to come.

“Thank you again for showing him the same love and support you have shown our family.”

Liam said Calvin had planned to change a college course so they could both attend Franklin College next year, where Calvin would study music. He planned to go on to university.

Calvin’s parents and other brother Ben also paid tribute to him.

His mother Sarah said: “Calvin was definitely a mummy's boy and he didn’t care who knew it, he would get some stick from his friends but he didn’t care.

“It was just in his nature. He always put others before himself.

“He loved his chocolate; he had such a sweet tooth. When I would come home with the shopping it was like he could smell which bag it was in and within seconds it would all be gone.”

His father Dave added: “We had a very close relationship and I was so proud of all he had achieved, as were all of the family. He never let things get him down.”
