Fans across globe expected at James Herriot gathering

FANS of the James Herriot novels from across the world are expected to descend on North Yorkshire for the fifth annual convention honouring the life and times of the legendary vet.

The three-day convention, hosted by the World of Herriot museum in Thirsk, features a range of events exploring the fictional life of James Herriot, who was created by the author Alf Wight, himself a vet in the Dales.

Museum manager Alison Scurrah said: “This promises to be another great convention. Every fan has their own memories of James Herriot so it is going to be interesting to listen to them all.”

The event takes place between September 30 and October 2. For details contact 01845 524234.
