Father’s tribute to body-parts horror son

TRIBUTES have been paid to a man whose dismembered body was found in the Lincolnshire countryside.

The father of 33-year-old Adam Vincent, Keith Vincent said his son, who was battling a drug habit, had a “smile that would light up a room” and described him as “having a good heart”.

He added: “He was very protective of his family and never wanted to trouble us with his problems, but I really wish he had, then I might have been able to help him get the help he needed.”

Police recovered a human leg from the Tetney Lock area last Thursday and other body parts were found on Friday and Sunday.

Yesterday officers arrested a sixth man and appealed to the public for information about a large white van with red lettering on the sides which may have been used to dispose of the remains.

Mr Vincent, formerly of Alexandra Road, Grimsby, was a drug user and police say his murder may be connected to his habit.

Searches have been made of a number of properties in Grimsby and Scunthorpe and police have also appealed for anyone who knew him and saw him on or after February 11 to contact them.

“The last time I saw Adam he was trying to turn his life around, he made me a promise that he was doing all he could to get things sorted,” Mr Vincent said.

“I want to make an appeal to anyone who may have information about what happened to Adam to come forward.

“These people have destroyed mine and Adam’s family’s life. Somebody out there must have a conscience and please tell police what has happened to him.

“I would hate to see what my family are going through happen to somebody else.”
