Fears grow for missing girls

Police are searching for two teenage girls who had been missing for more than 48 hours.

Friends Corrina Stirland, 15, and 14-year-old Rebecca Armer were

reported missing on Wednesday from their homes in Scunthorpe.

Humberside Police said their disappearance was out of character and officers were concerned for their welfare.

They were last seen by a friend at about 9.35pm on Thursday in the town's Cole Street area.

Corrina, of Hunt Road, is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, of slim build, with dark brown straight hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black top, leggings, a belt and black Ugg-style boots.

Rebecca, of Buckingham Avenue, is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, of slim build, with very long straight brown hair and blue eyes.

Officers are urging the girls, or anyone with information, to contact them.
