Fears grow for missing students

FEARS are growing for two students who are still missing after vanishing on separate nights out last weekend.

Matthew Wilcox, 19, a geography student at the University of Leeds, has not been seen since about 3am on Friday when he left the Mission nightclub in Leeds.

Yesterday, police were searching rivers in York for the second day in a row after Jonathan Havron, 18, disappeared in the early hours of Saturday, after a night out drinking in the city centre.

Police say it is completely out of character for both students to go out of contact, and they are growing increasingly anxious for their safety.

North Yorkshire Police said yesterday there has been a potential sighting of Mr Havron, of Huntington, York, at the Lowther Arms on Cumberland Street in the early hours of Saturday.
