Festival honour for Hollywood animator

MASTER stop-motion puppet animator Ray Harryhausen, inset above, was given a Bradford Animation Festival 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award on Saturday.

Director John Landis gave the award to him this summer – a moment captured on film and which was screened prior to a showing of classic special effects blockbuster Jason and the Argonauts.

Tony Dalton, from the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation, attended the festival and is seen above with an original model skeleton used in a scene from the film.
