Fire crews called to unstable crane in West Yorkshire
Fire crews in Halifax were this morning called to reports of a six-storey high crane becoming unstable and "swinging in the wind".
Firefighters attended at Shaw Lodge Mills, on Shaw Lane, at about noon after the hoist carrying 30 pieces of plasterboard six storeys high had possibly become stuck or fallen frmo its rails.
The team, including a technical rescue unit from Cleckheaten, winched the crane back to the building to lower the load onto the floor.
