Firms warned to ‘clean up act’

A COUNCIL crackdown on businesses which fail to deal with their waste is to target Leeds Road in Bradford.

Council officers will conduct patrols today and tomorrow to remind landlords and firms about keeping rubbish under control.

In some parts of Leeds Road, refuse has spilled onto streets and caused problems with vermin, says the council.

Its officers will be issuing warnings and advice at this stage but failure to comply could lead to fines.

Landlords will be advised about disposing of bulky items of waste.
