Flats intruder in assault on woman, 89

The 89-year-old victim was awoken by the suspect, who was standing at her door.

After barging his way into the property, the suspect forced the victim to touch him against her will, before dressing and leaving the property.

The incident occurred around 9am on Friday, September 17, in a flat in Pendas Way in the Manston area of Leeds.

A police spokeswoman said: "The victim has been left extremely distressed by the incident but has been able to help police with their inquiries and is being cared for by her family."

The suspect is described as white, aged 35 to 45, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in tall and of average build. He is thought to have been wearing a dark coloured suit jacket and matching trousers.
