Detective Inspector Paul Savage, of the Kirklees Safeguarding Unit, said: “This is an ongoing investigation and we believe a number of people witnessed it. We also believe that some people filmed the incident on mobile phones and I am appealing for those people to come forward to police with their footage.

“I would also ask that they do not share it on social media sites as by law victims of sexual assaults have life time anonymity.”

Witnesses are asked to call Kirklees Safeguarding Unit on 101 quoting log 1290 of Saturday, June 11.
