Footballer 'not part of drug inquiry'

A footballer arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine has been told by police that he has no case to answer.

Former England under-20 footballer Nathan Doyle, who plays for Championship team Barnsley, was stopped by police in Derby on September 20. But Derbyshire Police confirmed the 23-year-old midfielder, who has also played for Hull City, was no longer part of the inquiry.
