In the footsteps of Fred Astaire...
Actor Tom Chambers was in Leeds yesterday to launch Top Hat, which will come to the city later this year.
The actor, who has appeared in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and Holby City, gave a mini masterclass in tap and ballroom at Leeds Grand Theatre yesterday. Top Hat, a live version of the Hollywood film, receives its Yorkshire premiere at Leeds Grand Theatre on Tuesday, November 29 and runs until Saturday, December 10.
Top Hat is based on the legendary RKO motion picture of the same name starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin including such classics as Cheek to Cheek, Let’s Face The Music and Dance, and Top Hat, White Tie & Tails.
