Former ‘Hill’s Angel’ finds down-to-earth role in store
After a career which has also seen her be a contestant in TVs Gladiators and strut her stuff with pop stars Sinitta and Go West she has taken a job with more regular hours as Wakefield’s first personal shopper.
The mother-of-two’s new position is at the Debenhams store at the new £210m Trinity Walk development in Wakefield. She said yesterday: “I’ve travelled a lot, been to many high profile parties and seen many different styles.

Hide Ad“To me, being a personal shopper is doing a Gok Wan and making sure people feel like a million dollars in what they are wearing,” she added.
Dawn travelled the globe as a singer and dancer and studied at the Italia Conti school in London before working with stars including Sinitta and Go West and worked as a Benny Hill girl on TV in the 1980s.
She said: “The only reason I got the audition and straight through to Benny Hill is because I was bigger on top and I was a pretty blonde.
“It was all harmless fun in those days.
“All we did was run around with little frilly dresses on. It was fantastic. Benny was lovely, a really nice guy. He was very effeminate, sweet and kind,” she added.
