Four men, including a 22-year-old, 27-year-old and a 37-year-old, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody.

The fourth man, 47, was receiving treatment at Hull Royal Infirmary yesterday for injuries sustained.

Officers sought to reassure residents that the disturbance was confined to the address in Sewerby Road and said they
were not looking for anyone
else in connection with the incident.

Specially trained officers are supporting the victim’s family.

A post-mortem examination was due to take place later yesterday.

Police said they had a number of witnesses to the disturbance, but are appealing for anyone else who can help to contact them on 101.
