Fourteen vehicles involved in pile-up near Bramham

Emergency services have attended a 14-vehicle pile-up on the A1 near Bramham this morning.

Fire crews from Tadcaster and Selby attended the incident, between J45, Boston Spa and J44, Bramham, just before 8am.

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service and officers from West Yorkshire Police also raced to the scene, which motorists described as resembling a “car park”.

There are not believed to be any injuries and the vehicles involved are now all on the hard shoulder.

The lanes have been reopened and traffic is now flowing, following huge tailbacks at rush hour this morning.
