A woman who spent money swindled by her husband on breast surgery, a lavish wedding and a fleet of vehicles has been ordered to repay thousands of pounds.

Arron Thomas, 33, paid four fraudulent cheques worth almost £100,000 into 24-year-old Rhianna Thomas’s account while he worked as a temporary employee at a building firm.

The couple then went on a spending spree, using more than £25,000 to fund a luxury wedding at one of Oxfordshire’s great country houses, Eynsham Hall.

Within 10 weeks the rest of the cash was spent – going on a car costing more than £14,000, two motorbikes setting them back nearly £20,000 and breast surgery for Rhianna Thomas costing more than £4,200.

Arron Thomas, of Abingdon in Oxfordshire, was jailed for 22 months after he pleaded guilty last November to eight counts of fraud and transferring and converting criminal property.

Under the confiscation orders, recovered cash will go to the building firm, police said.
