Free business advice for older entrepreneurs

OLDER people are being offered the chance to get help and advice on how to set up their own business on a three-day course in Hull.

Delivered by the Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise, the course covers subjects including researching business ideas, financial planning, start-up costs, cash-flow, and how to market and sell products and services.

The course is free and spread over three months and will be held at Age UK in Hull, with the first day on Thursday. All days must be attended.

Rachael Mather, chief executive of Age UK Hull, said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer this course to anyone over 50 who wants to explore the possibility of setting up their own business and becoming their own boss.”
