SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY will resume their Championship season with a home encounter with Notttingham Forest on June 20 - and they will also end their campaign at Hillsborough.

Garry Monk's side, whose form in 2020 has been absymal, will be hoping for better fortune when football resumes after its Covid-19 hiatus.

They are due to host Nottingham Forest on Saturday, June 20 (3pm) and the SKY TV cameras will screen their first away game on the restart - a tough trip to Ashton Gate to face play-off candidates Bristol City on Sunday, June 28 (noon kick-off).

Wednesday return to Hillsborough for an exacting home appointment with title-chasing West Brom on Wednesday July 1 (7.45pm) before making the long trip to Swansea City on Saturday, July 4 (3pm).

Three days later, the Owls host Preston North End on Tuesday, July 7 (7.45pm) before visiting the capital to face Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, July 11 (3pm).

A home Yorkshire derby with Huddersfield Town is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14 (7.45pm) ahead of a daunting final away fixture of the season against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, July 18 (3pm).

The Owls finish the campaign at home to Middlesbrough on Wednesday, July 22. The kick-off time is yet to be confirmed.
