Full steam ahead for weekend of fun
THE North's biggest steam event, Pickering Traction Engine Rally, is under way and continues over the weekend at Pickering Showground with some of the best known engines in the country.
The event is held each August, having started as a get-together early in the history of steam rallies by a few engine owners.
Large numbers of steam vehicles are on show, plus fairground equipment, vintage motorcycles, army displays, and trucks.
There will also be music and one of Yorkshire's biggest funfairs.
