Fun for all ahead at a series of fundraising events

The Peak District Walk is the first in the series of three walking festivals in 2012 and a host of other For All fundraising activities in aid of Jane’s Appeal and its partner charities.

Places are filling up fast for the Yorkshire Dales Walking Festival, backed by the Yorkshire Post, on August 19, which includes five possible routes from 26 miles to the 4.5 walk and wheel route for young families and those with mobility difficulties. The first ever Lake District Walk for All takes place on September 9 around Windermere at distances of 18 miles, 13 miles and a family-friendly 4.5 miles.

The Leeds Half-Marathon is on May 13 while the Hull 10k, on June 3, kicks off the Asda Foundation Run for All series, with the Leeds 10k, on July 8, supported by the Yorkshire Post, and York 10k on August 5.

Pugney’s Country Park in Wakefield is again the venue for the Swim for All Yorkshire Swimming Festival on June 17. For entry details, and ticket deals, log on to www.forallevents.co.uk
