Funeral director was benefits cheat
A funeral director who claimed disability benefits has been fined £360 with £250 costs in Tameside, Manchester, after striding through the streets leading funeral processions.
Wayne Brindley, 40, of Tameside, said he could barely climb the stairs after breaking his leg 10 years ago but he failed to tell benefit bosses when his condition improved in 2007 and was overpaid 6,700 in benefits.
