Garage equipment stolen in Hull may be offered for sale

POLICE ARE warning that criminals may be trying to sell equipment stolen from a garage at the same time that three cars were taken.

The burglary happened at a car repairs garage on Malton Street, Hull, overnight between 6pm on Wednesday, July 11, and 7am on Thursday, July 12.

The that were stolen, a Vauxhall Corsa, a Mini and a Ford Fiesta, have since been recovered.

However, computer equipment, vehicle repair and mechanical equipment which was taken is still missing.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "We are appealing for anyone who is offered this equipment or knows anything about the burglary to call us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 16/73830/18.

"Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, you won’t be asked your name and you could receive a cash reward.

"Handling stolen goods is a crime. Knowingly buying stolen goods is an offence. If you know anyone who is buying or selling stolen goods, call us on 101."
