Girl, 17, and man, 24, charged over stabbing in Harrogate

A 17-YEAR-OLD girl and a 24-year-old man have been charged with wounding with intent over the stabbing of a man in Harrogate.

The girl, of Harrogate, and the man, of no fixed address, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court yesterday (August 21).

They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at York Crown Court on September 24.

A man had been found with serious leg injuries from stab wounds in Cambridge Road on Monday morning. He has since been released from hospital.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for potential witnesses. Officers believe there were people passing the area around St Peter’s Church on Cambridge Road between 7.30am and 8.30am on Monday and have asked them to come forward.
