The 2010 visitor guides for Hull and East Yorkshire and a second for Bridlington are being launched at the Holiday and Travel Show at the Manchester G-Mex Centre on Friday. The show attracts 50,000 people every year and staff from Visit Hull and East Yorkshire will be on hand to promote the region.

It is the largest travel exhibition for the general public in the UK, and over 90 per cent of visitors attend to book future holidays with a budget of over 2,500.

The brochures, which will go out to visitors across the UK and Europe next week, are being backed by a national advertising campaign. They are already in Tourist Information Centres.

Janet Reuben, Chief Executive of VHEY, said: “This year’s guides look superb and really capture the imagination of the reader. We hope that they inspire lots of new and old visitors alike to come to Hull and East Yorkshire in 2010.

“In 2008 the guides helped to generate over 35m into the visitor economy and we hope that this year they will be even more successful.”
