Good recovery of ‘yellow paste’ drugs man

A 21-YEAR-OLD man who was critically ill after he is thought to have taken the same batch of drugs linked to the death of a teenage girl has been released from hospital.

North Yorkshire Police confirmed yesterday the man had made a good recovery and had been released from York Hospital.

Police believe he took a yellowy white paste, thought to contain amphetamines, which has been linked to the death of Polly Rodgers, 16. A man, 23, and a woman, 26, both from York, who were arrested have been bailed.

Paramedics were called to a house in the Tang Hall area of York at 11.25pm on Thursday. Miss Rodgers was pronounced dead early on Friday in hospital.
