Gorilla sculpture under hammer

A life-size bronze cast of a famous gorilla is expected to sell for up to £20,000 when it goes under the hammer.

Gentle giant Jambo hit the headlines for guarding a five-year-old boy who was knocked unconscious when fell into his enclosure at Jersey Zoo on July 31 1986.

The cast by sculptor David Cemmick will be sold at Dominic Winter Auctioneers in South Cerney near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, on October 6.
