Grandmother given interim Asbo

A grandmother has been banned from calling the emergency services after making dozens of nuisance calls.

Patricia Green, 79, from Hull's Orchard Park estate, was ringing police as often as 18 times a day and claiming she was a victim of anti-social behaviour.

Yesterday, magistrates made her the subject of an interim anti-social behaviour order prohibiting her from calling officers unless in an emergency. The court heard abusive phone calls to police had been captured on tape. She was also banned from harassing any other Hull residents.

Solicitor Dave Robson said she had agreed not to breach any conditions and he would be getting a medical and mental health report before her next court appearance on July 9.
