Portal’s business model is designed to encourage business growth and flexibility without the red tape.

The company fits out the space to the requirements of the business and also manages it, enabling companies to add additional workstations for new staff and removing the restrictions of outgrowing a space.

City Walk, which is a five-minute walk from Leeds train station, features a manned reception with 24-hour security, and can accommodate up to 430 workstations across the workspace.

Portal operations director Phil Sugden said that following major investments and developments in the area, Yorkshire is now being recognised as one of the fastest growing tech and major business hubs in the UK.

“Attracting investment will always be the key challenge and yet Yorkshire continues to go from strength to strength,” he said.

“The rate of which major organisations are coming to Yorkshire, and the growth of its outstanding tech community, is testament to not only the quality of commercial and retail space on offer, but the talent here.

“With all the extra development and regeneration in store for the region, particularly in the emerging South Bank area of Leeds city centre, it’s clear to see why businesses view Yorkshire as a prime location for investment and expansion.”
