Halifax boy attacked by four teenagers

An 11-year-old boy has been attacked by a group of teenagers in Halifax, police said.

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after the victim was targeted between 3.10pm and 3.30pm on Monday (October 24).

The boy had been walking with a friend in Portland Place when they were chased by a group of four teenagers.

The victim was then chased down St Johns Road after losing his friend where he was held down by three of the teenagers while a fourth assaulted him causing him facial injuries.

They then made off towards Halifax town centre where it is believed they attempted to hide inside a pet shop.

The force is also attempting to trace a person who approached the suspects during the incident or anyone else who may have witnessed the attack.

The suspects are described as white, around 15 to 16 years old, all between 5ft 5in and 5ft 9in and of skinny build.

The main suspect had blonde spiked gelled hair, wearing dark clothing and was carrying a blue bag with orange rope straps and an orange Nike sign printed on.

The other suspects had short dark hair and medium length scruffy hair and all were wearing dark clothing.
